PHAROAHS is a culmination of many years of discussions between our founders, Ryn lIngalls and Tiffany Rogers. These discussions began while Ryn was in the U.S. Army and studying Psychology as an undergraduate and Tiffany was an Army spouse studying Comparative Religion as an undergraduate.
These discussions led to the realization that there were not many organizations that championed Freedom of Religion and Religious Diversity beyond the three most well-known religions in the United States. Meanwhile, Ryn retired from the Army and went to graduate school at Georgia Southern University, obtaining a MA in Social Science-Anthropology and Tiffany graduated her Comparative Religion BA, worked in Georgia State Parks, and her husband left the U.S. Army.
Now all the pieces were in place. Ryn and Tiffany founded PHAROAHS together as a joint vision to educate, create dialogue, advocate for, and reduce misunderstandings about diverse religions. While PHAROAHS focuses on religions that have fewer people and/or are less understood in the United States, any person is welcome regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, or disability.
